Of course! It was very cool to find that there are other people who are thinking deeply about culture and its impact on faith or vice versa, especially in the Asian community. I’m really looking forward to reading the rest of your work as well!
Hey Jae, thanks for visiting and reading this post! I'm definitely passionate about helping Asian-Australians understand how their cultural context shapes their understanding of the gospel, and that sometimes, we project our culture into our interpretations of God's character. Our church has a lot of Australian Korean Christians, and there are definitely overlaps in our cultural contexts. Some things are still distinctly different (ie. the relational hierarchal structure seems more pronounced in Korean culture). I'm keen to start reading some of your posts and learning from you too!
I feel that I have a lot to learn! 😊

I love this post! I did really like that movie as well.
Though I am not Chinese, I think the Chinese Christians may share very similar things to that of Korean Christians.
I do wonder what the experience of an Australian Chinese Christians' journey of faith as it relates to Church and faith looks like!
And very interesting to see that other people are seriously thinking through our culture influences and affects our view on faith!
Thank you for the post Heidi! :)
